In my second semester of ceramics, I want to learn how to make bigger and cleaner clay pieces. Last semester I tried to make small bowls and cups, but it was not working very well, but now I want to try things that take more time and care. I hope to learn how to shape the clay, so it stays even and smooth. I also want to get better at using the wheel, because I still lose control of the clay sometimes.

I would like to learn more about glazing too. I want to try new colors and learn how to make cool designs without the glaze running or mixing too much. I also want to learn how to make lids that fit and handles that stay on. By the end of the semester, I hope I can make work that looks neat, strong, and more like real art. I would like to to learn how to not get upset when my work does not work.
